French baby milk and food maker Lactalis Groupe's ongoing recall of thousands of products over fears of salmonella bacteria contamination in China is expected to have a negative impact on its market share in the country.
China is among the countries around the world where customers are affected by the recall, according to a list published on the French health ministry's website.
According to Lactalis' China unit, the company will recall around six batches of Celia milk formula that have been sold in the Chinese market, involving 3,208 cartons of the product. Then add batches of Ofmom and Stolle to the recall list. The left batches of the product under recall are in the storage and will be destroyed.
