The Boao Food for Health Forum and Expo (FHE) will be held at the Boao Forum for Asia International Conference Center from February 22 to 25, 2023. The conference is co-sponsored by Shanghai JS Life Science Institute, Special Food Research Center of China Agricultural University and Hainan Yuanchuang Active Health Industry Development Research Institute. The participants, experts and scholars will have in-depth discussions on four sections and special topics to build a platform for multi-party dialogue and communication for the Food for Health industry.

At present, many enterprises and institutions are optimistic about the establishment of Hainan Free Trade Zone (Port) and the development prospect of Lecheng. With the vigorous development of Hainan Free Trade Port and the continuous release of multiple opening-up policies, Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone ("Pilot Zone") has become the most important channel for global innovative medical devices to enter the Chinese market. It is not only the "Hope City" in the eyes of many domestic patients, but also a hub platform for the establishment of in-depth cooperation between the world’s major medical device manufacturers and enterprises in the zone.

As the world's first high-end dialogue platform focusing on the scientific evidence of food for health, FHE will aim to disseminate scientific evidence, promote international exchanges and cooperation, and lead scientific and technological innovation. It will cover all food with health evidence at home and abroad, and present the scientific evidence of food for health from basic scientific research, product development, and post-market research, to build an integrated platform for scientific exchange, achievement display and industrial connection.

The FHE forum is divided into four sections. The first section is about regulations and standards for food for health. The second section is new technology and new products, covering NMN+NR, HMO (Human Milk Oligosaccharides), HMF (Human Milk Fat) and meal replacement food. The third section is DRR (disease risk reduction claims) products. The fourth section is food for special medical purpose, which will feature three sessions on rare diseases, food allergies and cancer.

The exhibition area and the number of exhibitors for the FHE will be grand. There will be 100-150 exhibitors with an exhibition area of 5,000 square meters, making full use of the special advantages of the "Pilot Zone". General food, food raw materials, functional food, health food, dietary supplements, food for special medical purpose, infant formulas, TCM foods (substances used both as food and traditional Chinese medicine) and products and sports food can all sign up for the exhibition. In addition, products that have not been approved for market in China, but have been approved for market and sale abroad, as well as products with scientific evidence of health promotion, all have the opportunity to enter China.

This Boao Food for Health Forum and Expo (FHE) will take advantage of the preferential policies of Boao Lecheng, gather global science and technology elements of food for health, promote the import of food for special medical purpose and other food for health and export of Chinese characteristic TCM foods, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and promote science and technology synchronization of food for health between China and the world.
