This standard replaces "National Food Safety Standard - Food Microbiological Examination - Examination of Enterobacter Sakazakii" (GB 4789.40-2010) and "Determination of Enterobacter Sakazakii (Cronobacter Spp.) from Dehydrated Powdered Milk for Export—Part 1: Isolation and Enumeration" (SN/T 1632.1-2013). 

This standard has the following main changes from GB 4789.40-2010: 

- the standard title was revised to "National Food Safety Standard - Food Microbiological Examination - Examination of Cronobacter (Enterobacter Sakazakii)"; 

- the amount of suspicious colony picked was modified.
